Dell D600 wireless help?   Message List

I just bought a used dell D600 laptop. It does not have wireless and I
want to have that.
I see all kinds of wireless devices for sale and I need help deciding
what to get.
I see many USB wireless devices and also many PCMCIA devices.
I wonder what to buy and also which might be easiest to get going.
I am running Slackware 12 on it.
