Having problems with message search?
im using WindowsXP and RedHat Linux ES 4 at the same time. some how Windows XP
was corrupted. then i reinstall windows XP. then the boot loader was vanished and i cant
enter or either find my LINUX OS.
i tried to recover the boot loader so many times but i failed. so any one can help me out there.........without reinstalling the linux OS???
i tried in many ways.such as
- i boot the pc using the 1st bootable CD.
- then i apply the following command
- linux rescue
- chroot /mnt/sysimage
- grub-install /dev/hdax (x is HDD partition)
- exit
but it couldnt solve the problem.
i entered in GUI mode and tried to update the boot loader but failed
i also entered in CLI mode and tried to update the boot loader but failed again........
