Does anyone here know, how to read a cc skimmer from linux?

we have a case in here, we found a credit card skimmer, but we still have
problem to read the data from it? the dmesg didn't show anything at all..

we still investigating the case which involve the dept store cashier.

any suggest? I could send you the pic also.
