In the case of thread..
you can use the combination of MUTEX and CONDITION_VARIABLE.....
that allow to wait for the thread for a condition or time u specufy,
whichever fires earlier..............

The application I am developing is a multithreaded application and requires switching between the threads (5 or more) and inside the threads msg queuse are there. sleep is perhaps not a better solution to be used. can you suggest some high resolution timer which can be used for such purpose.
