There is an opportunity for the Museum to book two audio/visual
artist, Skoltz Kolgen from Montreal, Canada in March of the new
year....CMKY the local electronic music group is going to bring them
out for their Electronic Music Festival they are doing in Boulder.
They were going to have them perform at Fiske Planetarium, but its not
up to par, so they x the venue, problem is these guys really love to
perform in surround. So their info was passed to me, wondering if the
dome would be the perfect place for them, and I think it is....check
out their site, and stuff this is what they said in my last email
conversation....

"We have different possibility of performance and concept  ( please
have a look skoltzkolgen.com ) but the one who have a perfect link
with the Museum is probably Epiderm the audience are on the floor and
with a circular screen at the ceiling, it's in 5.1 surround the
concept is to pass by a hair, pore, vein and go in the human body
until you reach the structure of nanotechnology. you will find better
infos on our site."

I will try to make it down....I have a lot going on including a new
job...working 7-5 at the moment....but we will see what I can

at the electronic music parties we throw here in Denver
and my latest one is a Tilted 10 ft visual Dome. I will be displaying
visuals inside it in a room at the "GOG" Halloween Gypsy Carnival Party.

This message is being sent to the Planetarium Audio group, the live
interactive performance group, and the Planetarium Technology Volunteers.
Although the Gates Planetarium won't be re-opening until October 22 at
the latest, we can still plan on what day of the week we will start
having regular meetings once again.

There has been some talk of having all three groups show up on the same
day/night.  This is not to force people to work in the other groups
(although they may wish to do so), but to give Dan and other support
staff a bit of a breather so that they don't have to stay late three
nights in (sometimes) a single week.

This of course may not happen at all given people's schedules.  Currently
the PTVs meet on Thursdays, and Dan tries to take Fridays off.  What do
people think?
