0. Section Zer0
Welcome to this, the 28th issue, of the Digital Digest LiveUpdate
newsletter.
For those of you who follow football (soccer), The World Cup will
start in just over 20 days from now. I for one can't wait, and will
no doubt spend hours upon hours glued to the TV screen - so please
forgive me if I stop updating the site for a while - I won't be dead,
just dead tired. And for those that have been following my
recent "Message of the Day" on DivX Digest (you know who you are ...
both of you), you should now know how much of a fan I am a certain
football club in London, whose name starts with "A" and ends
with "rsenal". If you also follow English football, you should also
know how happy I am right now :)
This issue of our very irregular is mainly to announce the release of
WinDVD 4, which has seen some quite major changes, improvements in
most part to directly compete with PowerDVD 4.0.
Enjoy :)

1. WinDVD 4 Released
Well, another major release of WinDVD is available.
It seems that Intervideo has taken in some of the suggestions I have
made about WinDVD 3.0, and most of the problematic areas such as
zooming (Pan&Scan support) and still capturing has been addressed in
the new version. Of course, all the latest surround sound formats are
supported (Dolby EX, DTS ES), as well DSP effects.
A full review of WinDVD 4 will be coming soon, but if you can't wait,
you can download a demo version of it now and check it out for
yourself :
