I¹m currently looking for a contract Junior IA / User Experience Consultant
for an initial 2 month contract (possibility to extend!) based in Kings
Cross London

Role Summary

We require a Junior Information Architect to join the business, supporting
ongoing web site development. Working with the Senior IA, you will be
responsible for producing wire frames, sitemaps, user journeys / story
boards and user scenarios considering the usability of the client's
Websites. You will need a minimum of one year of experience as an
Information Architect, preferably for a major agency.

Experience with user-centred design methodology is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

* Production of wire frames, user journeys and sitemaps to develop
information architecture and user centred design for internal projects
(primarily web sites, but also other products such as rich media software
applications).
* Work with Digital Production Department to ensure projects are delivered
in a timely and professional manner taking responsibility and accountability
for all internal resources and costs used on client work.
* Ensure the integrity of Defaqto work.
* Contribute to Defaqto¹s positive internal atmosphere, quality of work, and
growth into new fields or industries
* Support the development of new types of deliverables, workshops, or
presentations as necessary

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required for the Role

* Understanding and experience of web/internet and marketing
* Minimum 1 year experience in IA and interaction design for web sites
* Must be experienced in working to brand guidelines
* Strong attention to detail
* Great attitude and ability to handle change
* Ability to work independently, prioritise and solve problems proactively
* Creativity and attention to detail
* Experience with using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
* Technical appreciation of standard front end technologies such as HTML,
AJAX
