Hello all,
So your new years resolutions are fading, the trainers have been used once
and you're falling back off the wagon. However, you can still feel holier
than thou, and maybe raise an interesting thought or two by coming along to
the London-IA book club.
It'll be held at various offices of agencies that'll be willing to host so
we get to nosey round each others environments (and pinch each other's
staplers). And we can talk without guilt about something that would
otherwise be of no interest to partners/family/friends etc.
First one to be held at my gaff:
http://www.twentysixlondon.com/get_in_touch/index.html - We'll provide some
wine/beer/drinks & food
at 7pm on wednesday 7th of February. Which gives you 4 weeks to have a look
at BJ Foggs Persuasive Technology which is the first book we'll be looking
at.

oks
it's £23 new, or there's loads from amazon resellers around £15.
It's quite old (2002), but a really interesting book, especially with some
of the new research he's doing around social networks.
http://dericbownds.net/2007/01/web-20both-feel-good-and-wicked.html. I'd
also be interested to know if anyone has actually got practical examples of
using ideas from the book.
FREE BOOK (loans) As an introductory offer i'm willing to personally buy &
post 2 loan copies of the book for the first 2 people to respond that they
want one. All you have to do in return is write a decent review (ie, around
500 words - only slightly longer than this email) and say something
interesting about the book at the book club meet.
RSVP
Can you please let me know if you're up for attending so i know how much
space we'll need and how much drink/food to get.
Cheers, and a belated happy new year
