I'm being polemic here to make a point:
Nobody needs all that information!
When do you really need to know which tracks have completed and which
haven't? Is it really important enough to have two lists that are
constantly showing during conversion? Who really cares how long it's
taken so far? What the heck is a C2 error, and why would I need to be
updated live as they happen, if the only thing I can do is cancel
*all* operations?
What is an "AccurateRip" ? I'd expect no rip to be inaccurate.
Someone else suggested the iTunes route, and I agree. Why not just
turn this UI into one list of tracks, plus a "Rip" or "Start" button.
Indicate progress using icons next to the tracks being processed, and
show the ETA in the bottom bar. If a C2 error occurs (presuming it's
actually something bad), just put an error icon next to the track it
happened with and move on. If you make the icon a separately sortable
column, people can click the column header for a quick glance of how
many tracks to go, how many finished, and how many errored out.
You could make the bottom bar a bit taller, to fit the button in
there, and if you insist, you could also add a progress bar, though I
think it's not needed.
