Yea after I re read my posting I realized I wasn't clear enough. I
can see my desktop, but there are no icons, time, hard drive it is
just an empty desktop. I can move the cursor around the screen but
that is it.

I bought a couple of these G4's and I have the same prolem on
another one. Maybe the school had these networked in a certain way
so the students computers don't work unless a master computer gives
the permission?

Any ideas?
