You did read the part earlier where I told you you had to re-enable
that, which is easily done by simply entering:
##DIALUP
If done properly with no more than about a second pause between
keys, you should see a message that dial-up networking is enabled/
disabled... It's a toggle.
I tested it and it worked on mine the day I bought it, but I also
know for a fact that I do NOT have a data plan with Verizon, and so I
don't expect the functionality to continue to work and haven't tried
it since.
There are two issues involved. One is Verizon's network policy
which may allow or disallow me using the phone to access their 1x
data network. The other issue is locking the bluetooth dial-up-
networking profile out, and that is remedied as shown above. After
doing that, if you still cannot connect, then it is Verizon's lockout
on your account, not the particular phone.
