That's a tough one. AFAIK there is no list. The problem is that Apple
did not include CD-ROM drivers with their
operating system until System 7. You can find Apple drivers for Apple
drives on their old software web site
for System 6. System 7 and later includes them.
The last version that came on 800k floppies is System 7.0. System 7.1
and 7.5 will also run on a 4m
SE (it may run on one with less memory), but you either need an FD/HD
or install it on external
hard drive using another computer.
System 6, 7 and 7.5 can be downloaded for free from Apple, 7.1 is not
free, but you can find it if
you search well enough on sites outside of the US.
There were 3rd party drivers for Cd's. I have a Toshiba drive that
came with its own drivers. CD-ROM speed
tools works fine on System 7 up, but I had a problem using the
installer on an SE.
There is a freeware driver called CD-Sunrise which will work with most
drives except it does not play audio
tracks.
Note that the only CD drives that can boot an SE are Apple, but it's a
moot point. There were no CDs of anything
before 7.5 and they only worked on the computers they were included
with. 7.6, which won't run on an SE
was the first "universal" CD.
