I want to add just a few points.
1. For those of you who follow the exciting show of
comet 73P for a couple of weeks now... if anything
of 73P will be left until the meeting, we will have a
daily update during the meeting. Giovanni Sostero
and Ernesto Guido are planning to image it remotely
from New Mexico each morning, giving a short briefing
later with new images and developments.
I think this is an exciting addendum of almost real-time
information to the talks and posters scheduled which
deal with comet 73P or comets in general.
2. For those of you who can't abstain from email and
web access during the meeting, Christoph Goldmann
of the local organizing committee will set up a few
internet terminals and probably a WLAN hotspot as
well. Such a hotspot should avoid any congestion at the
few terminals during the breaks.
I don't know how many of you need internet access
to observe remotely overseas, especially since the meeting
is at full moon, but in any case the uplink should be
fast enough, according to the locals.
Regards,
Reiner
