Postdoctoral Research Associate (Machine Vision & Learning)

School of Psychology, University of Nottingham, UK

Applications are invited for the above post to work with
Dr Fernand Gobet and Dr Peter Lane on a project aiming at
combining low level perception with high level knowledge,
using psychologically plausible mechanisms, derived from the
CHREST architecture (see WWW at:
http://www.psyc.nott.ac.uk/research/credit/projects/CHREST).

Candidates should have a strong background in computer science
and good programming skills. Familiarity with machine vision,
machine learning, and/or LISP will be an advantage.

Salary will be within the range £17,626 £22,522 per annum, depending
on qualifications and experience. This post is available from
May 2002 or as soon as possible thereafter and will be offered
on a fixed term contract for a period of one year.
