Wow... I just took a sobering look at the Made On Amiga webring and
found more dead links than live.

BTW, the Polymorph (www.polyphoto.com) link goes to the right place,
but the "read more" link for it goes to the info for UPCHUG
(www.polyphoto.com/upchug)

Any chance of getting a re-review of the UPCHUG site? You rather
panned it. You make it sound like I'm too dim to notice that my
article on web graphics has no graphics. As pointed out in the
article, content over style. http://www.polyphoto.com/upchug/

Thanks,
Steve Greenfield

You really ought to check out the new-new Made on Amiga items in the
MoA shop.

We think we have excelled ourselves with the latest two products
added - a new mousemat and new mug, with very cool graphics.

The new products have an A500 main board on them! How cool is that?

Point your browser at:

and treat yourself. Go on, you know you want to.

Just to let you all know that the message you received informing you
that a number of filers had been uploaded to the MoA group was
correct, but the files have since been deleted.

The files were spam uploaded by 'maxwell_lemondrop', a member that it
would appear joined the group just to spam us. For that reason that
members priveledges have now been revoked.

Sorry for the intrusion, but unfortunately short of moderating group
membership, there is not really a lot we can do about it.

Cheers,

Finally, MoA are pleased to announce two new items in the MoA shop (
http://shop.madeonamiga.com ).

A glaring omission from the MoA merchandise roster was of course a
mousemat - well no longer. Check out the 'Fat Agnus' Mousemat. Quite
simply the mousemat that every Amiga owner should have, and not just
for beside your Amiga either - why not order one for beside your PC
at work - that'll have yuour colleagues guessing!

And here's a cutesie one for ya. Show your beloved Miggy how much
you love it by buying it a 'Boing Bear' companion. A cutsey little
bear wearing a Boing Ball t-shirt to sit on top of your monitor, on
top of your towered Amiga, or just on your desk. Awh, innit lovely!

More items coming soon, be sure to surf on by. But these two are
bound to be hot items.

Hello,

I did a search on the net for you and got the 3.1 File.
I dont have a clue what you will need to do to it though. Its a ADF
file.....if that tells you more. I guess ideally, you can save it to
disk and try it in your Amiga. You can add me to yahoo messenger

Hi all,

MyMoA has been talked about sine MoA first launched in 1997, and I
have finally finished the system!

The official press release has not gone out yet, but I thought the
members of this group should know about it.

Originally MyMoA was simply going to be a way of adding an MoA search
to your own we site with the results changed to match your site's
style. But MyMoA has grown into a suite of a few tools to allow you
to add MoA content to your site. From simple serach boxes to
automatically updated 'latest additions' content.

Take a look at http://my.MadeOnAmiga.com to see what its all about.
Or go to MoA and click the MyMoA link in the left hand menu.

Of course, like MoA the tools are all free to use on your site!

Lots of activity here - not.... Just in case, here is an answer:

The power supplies are much different in size. The A4k has no room for the A2k
supply. However, standard peecee supplies can be made to work with the A2k by
adding a mod for clock output. Info is on Aminet.

Hi Steve,

You've got me on this one I'm affraid. I'll have a look through the
old logs to see if I can find your entry, but I can't think why it
would have been removed.

One thing on your pages which is confusing however is that they are
made (according to the HTML) in Adobe PageMill for WIndows (<META
NAME="GENERATOR" CONTENT="Adobe PageMill 3.0 Win">). All of your
pages seem to have been made with PageMill.

If this is true then your site is not made on an Amiga.

The content of the site is not relevent. Made on Amiga is for sites
on ANY subject, so long as they were made or are maintained on
Amigas. To quote our About page 3:

"To be listed on Made on Amiga requires only one thing - that the
site was created or is maintained on an Amiga computer. The subject
matter can be anything you want, and as you can see by browsing the
directory subjects really vary!"

When was your site listed? Was it ever listed in the main directory
or just in the 'New sites' list and never reviewed? If it was listed
in the main directory, then I guess your site must have gone missing
because of our ISP disappearing, or because of some other mistake in
the database. If it never got from the new sites list and was only
ever listed in the 'New Sites' list, then chances are the reviewer
picked up on the 'PageMill' tags and figured the site was not Amiga
made. I'll check the logs and see who reviewed your site if it was
ever reviewed. The reviewer should really have picked up on
the 'Created with Amiga' images on the pages though!!!

One of the improvements in the new MoA is that if you submit a site
and it is rejected, you will automatically be sent an email
explaining why it was rejected - if you provide an email address when
submitting the site.

If your sites really are made on an Amiga, I can only appologise for
this, but I am sure you will understand why we have to enforce these
kind of rules. After all MoA is a directory for ONLY sites which were
made on Amigas. If we start letting all and any sites in then we will
just become an inferior Yahoo!.

Feel free to get back to me directly as webmaster@... if
you wish to discuss it further. All I can really suggest is that you
resubmit the sites, and I'll try to get them added asap.

Once again, sorry for this, and I hope this explains what may have
gone on. I'll let you know what I find in the logs.

How come the websites for the Amiga SIG of UPCHUG, and my
commercial site Polymorph Digital Photography keep getting removed
from the listings?

Both were made originally entirely on an Amiga 3000, graphics and
HTML. The HTML is now maintained on Pagemill on a PC, but nothing
about the layout is changed. I even updated the tutorials on the
UPCHUG site. They've had the "Created with Amiga" graphic and link
all along.

I made this on my Amiga, also, but since it has nothing to do with
Amiga I have not tried to list it:
http://www.ikvtmar.com

A quick look on MadeOnAmiga.com shows me -lots- of links to sites
that don't even mention Amiga, some that only have a few graphics
created on Amiga but the website was not, and a lot of dead links.

Your word is final, it is your website. But I really would like to
know why my commercial website and the Amiga club site I made and
maintain keep getting removed.

Thank you,
Steve Greenfield

Looks great!

I have a question: why do you keep removing my website,
http://www.polyphoto.com from the list?

I originally created the website on my Amiga, including all
graphics and HTML. I maintain it now using Pagemill on a PC, but
have not changed the layout or graphics since making it all on my
Amiga 3000 using ImageFX, ImageStudio, and Photogenics.

I see there are other websites on there that have only a few things
created on an Amiga, and those that don't even mention the word
Amiga. I also saw a lot of links that are to websites that don't
exist now.

It is your website, your decision is final. But I'd like to know
why my website keeps getting removed from the listings.

Thank you,
Steve Greenfield

The new Made on Amiga is now live at http://www.MadeOnAmiga.com

The site went live at midnight.

A new press release was posted to various Amiga/computing related web
sites and publications.

Hello.

My website is no longer strictly Made On Amiga. However, the
original code framework was done on my Amiga, and all the graphics
were done on my Amiga. I use Pagemill now to do updates.
