Howto detect Version and Service Pack of eDeveloper   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #123980 of 148729 |
Hello guys,

While I am on the topic of patching and updating, is there a way to determine
what version and service pack of eDeverloper is installed, from within an
eDeveloper application? Maybe with a COM call or something?

Thank you,
---Jaco

Jaco, Unfortunately it seems this feature was dropped from eDev 10. Entering "eDevRTE version" or "eDevStudio version" at a command prompt returns nothing at...

Its imo better to take the MD5 hash or so anyway. That you would then lookup in a database or hardcode for comparisons in your installation program. A hash you...
