This is an amateur astronomy and space-science related group based in India, dedicated to all those who just wonder with awe and inspiration at the majestic beauty of our Universe. In this group we will be doing all that is related to astronomy, space-science and related activities. Activities like sky-observations, tips and techniques, experiences, recent news will be discussed. This is a group open to all, and people from other fields with an interest in astronomy are most welcome to join here. As we are based in Bangalore in South India, it's more beneficial for people around as we'll have regular meetings, but anyone else is also welcome to join and do astronomy together. Afterall, the heavens are made for one and all!

ABOUT THE HOMEPAGE IMAGE : This gorgeous image displays Northern star-trails centered around Polaris. Amar A. Sharma from BAS, Bangalore, was observing with Anurag Shevade from Khagol Mandal, Mumbai on 30th November 2008. This is a 70-minute exposure taken by Anurag, at Atgaon, 100km off Mumbai. The sky quality was so good in the North, there is no 'reddish' glow seen even in the long exposure; the resultant image gives the natural background color!
