Reintroduction of Mammals into UK   Message List

Hello All,

Bringing back animals which were hunted to extinction in Britain -
including the wolf, lynx, beaver and wild boar - would not be difficult,
according to a news article in the UK Telegraph. A very interesting article.
See:

for more detalis.

Australia has been reintroducing some native animals back into areas
where they have been extinct. Scotia Sanctuary in NSW is one example that
impressed me.

Since moving to Tassie, I have been enjoying the mammals here. I saw a
Southern Bettong recently - a species not so commonly seen.

Regards,

Chris Coleborn
