Thanks for your article re mammals on your recent Tas trip Murray.
Interesting you mentioned rabbits increasing in Tassie. I grew up in
south-west Qld and at times there were rabbit plagues. When the numbers
built up there would be quite a number of coloured rabbits - apart from the
usual grey, there would be black, white, pale brown, cream and all shades in
between - and at times pied and various marked and spotted individuals. I
now live in Tassie and have come across quite a few 'coloured' individuals
here too.
