I've emailed our PA member list a number of times, but
realized the mars-penn group list contains a larger
group of people and it's easier to use for bulk
emailing. To make sure everyone is getting messages,
I've gone through both mailing lists to make sure
people do not receive duplicate emails (from me). For
everyone on the mars-penn group who is not actually a
Mars Society member, I encourage you to join and
participate.

And on to the referenced subject:
The Political task Force would like to begin tracking
feedback from our congressional representatives on the
Bush plan for human space exploration. What we are
asking is that you check local sources and gather
quotes, statements, etc. that your state's
congresspeople have made. This will give us credible
sources of information to use to help members prepare
for visits. It will also give the PTF a list of where
these people in congress stand (for, against, neutral
or no position stated). We will compile the
information and post it on the website by state.

Please send any information you gather to Matt Lowry
at lowryclan@... or Richard Sylvan at
rlsylvan@.... Please document when and where the
information came from. Here is some of the info that
would be needed:

Name of Congressperson
State (use standard state abbreviations)
Date & Source of Statement
Transcript of Actual Statement
