Science Club for Girls and AWIS invite you to join us for a few hours of
science fun!
Miz Wizard's Science Secrets!
Sunday, October 21, 3:30 PM and 7:30 PM shows

Please join us as we explore the triumphs and obstacles for women in science
through this solo performance that is guaranteed to make you laugh, think,
shake your head and clap for joy!

The setting: Barbara Knight, aka Miz Wizard, prepares for and tapes the
premiere show of Miz Wizard s Science Secrets for public access cable TV.

The "plot": With a sense of history and humor, Miz Wizard tells
stories about women and girls contributions to science, engineering,
invention,
and math... about revolutionary research and media portrayals... about
theories of sex difference over time... about obstacles faced and overcome
by women whose passion is discovery.

Who should come: EVERYONE. (Well, we do recommend that children be at least
12). This show is not only for girls and women, nor only for those
interested
in science, mathematics, engineering and technology. If you can name no
more than two women scientists (and Marie Curie is one of the two) then
you should certainly come! Do be aware that correct biological terms like
"ovary" do crop up now and again!

Location: The Broad Institute Auditorium, 7 Cambridge Center, Cambridge,
MA. For directions and maps see Acteva Registration Pages below.
Ticket Information:
$10.75 (Student/Youth/Low Income)
$21.50 (Adult)
$31.85 (Adult + Donation for subsidized ticket)
