2008.

Please join us to elect the new board and to get involved in chapter
work right away!
We have many committees and programs looking for support including:
Events Committee: This year get involved and help plan the National AWIS
events at this years AAAS meeting in Boston. Host and meet AWIS
scientists from around the country.
Leadership Workshop Committee: Our ever-popular series of training
events for the skills you don’t always learn in the lab (communication,
networking, mentoring, time management, etc. etc.); come and give your
input for what we need to do next.
Fundraising Committee: We’d like to be growing our bank account and
providing more and more services for our members. This is a great skill
to develop…what a great way to practice networking!
Mentoring Initiative: There is increasing interest in starting/expanding
an AWIS mentoring program..is this something of interest to you..join us
to discuss and plan.
Wage Equity Project: Trish Lohmar is heading up this team working with
Evelyn Murphy to develop a Wage Equity workshop for scientists!
