“RISCy” Business: Science and Philosophy of Science
As co-founder of a company focused on RNAi therapeutics, Dr. Pachuk will present a blend of science and the philosophy of scientific discovery. She will take an historical perspective, highlighting major discoveries in the fields of RNAi, anti-sense, CpG effects and nucleic-acid delivery. Along the way, she will share personal experiences and insights into the scientific discovery process as well as those of local noted scientists, Arthur Krieg and Paul Zamecnik who were interviewed by the presenter.
