“RISCy” Business: Science and Philosophy of Science

 

As co-founder of a company focused on RNAi therapeutics, Dr. Pachuk will present a blend of science and the philosophy of scientific discovery. She will take an historical perspective, highlighting major discoveries in the fields of RNAi, anti-sense, CpG effects and nucleic-acid delivery. Along the way, she will share personal experiences and insights into the scientific discovery proc­ess as well as those of local noted scientists, Arthur Krieg and Paul Zamecnik who were interviewed by the presenter.
