June is AWIS membership month. Whether you come once a year or 15 times a year to AWIS events, join the chapter to support the important work AWIS is still doing near home and in Washington. Reduced membership for students, postdocs, retired, and unemployed only $35.00.
WHAT IS A MENTORING CIRLCLE?
A mentoring circle is a collection of mentoring relationships that meets together on a regular basis for an agreed upon length of time. The groups will help mentees set important development goals and build competence and character to reach those goals.
The AWIS Mentoring Circles have been designed to:
· Provide an opportunity for members to meet in open, candid and interactive forums to share and benefit from common interests and needs
· Help members develop a network of business contacts and resources
· Encourage learning and the exchange of information and ideas between peers and senior to executive level individuals
· Foster growth and self-development
To participate as a Mentee you must be a MASS AWIS member (join at www.awis.org), be prepared to attend a mandatory orientation on September 9, 2009, and you must fill out the Mentee survey—LINK TO 2009 MENTEE SURVEY.
