Back by Popular Demand……If you missed our first Leadership Workshop on Communication Skills with Sarah Cardozo Duncan, you have another chance to attend!

 

MASS-AWIS Event

Title: Communication Skills Workshop for Women Scientists
Date: March 6th
Time: 7pm - 9pm
Location:
Research North building of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (99 Brookline Avenue; Entrance on Overland Street)
Parking: There is street meter parking on Overland Street, Brookline Avenue and Beacon Street.
Public Transportation: Just a few blocks from Kenmore Square stop on Green lines B,C or D
Cost: Free AWIS Members, $10 non-members

NOTE: This is a repeat of the extremely popular workshop held last October. An additional Communications Workshop on Difficult Conversations will be held in May by Sarah Cardozo Duncan open only to people who have taken either this introductory workshop or the one from last October held at the Broad Institute.

Sarah Cardozo Duncan is a Career Strategist http://www.careerstrategist.com who specializes in helping people design career paths that maximize their interests and talents.  She began her career in the health care industry and in banking.  After honing her financial skills, she entered the temporary help service industry and quickly climbed to VP.  She came to Boston to assume the position of director of client services for a leading outplacement firm.  She was recently named one of the 100 most powerful women by Boston Magazine!  Don't miss this chance to gain the skills you will need! Central Mass AWIS event at UMass, Worcester
AWIS is moving west!  While most AWIS events are in the Boston/Cambridge area, a group of women at UMass and WPI have organized this first Central Mass event.  This will be a fun and accessible event if you would like to meet colleagues at neighboring schools and companies and learn more about AWIS.
