Have a small fp 2000 web on Tripod and keep getting a message that
the server has timed out when trying to upload image files over 320
kb.

The fp server extensions are installed on the web at Tripod, so can't
use FTP to upload the files.

Is it a good or bad idea to use Tripod's File Manager utility to
upload the large files? Don't want to corrupt the files fp 2000 uses
to manage the web.
