Tom makes a great point. You certainly want a textbook that will help students prepare for the AP Calc Exam.

Each "big" book company will have several different books for any
subject. Call H-M, and McD-L, tell them who you are and ask them to
send you copies of their Precalc books, and pick whatever you think
will work
best with YOUR kids.
