I got my official notice today that Geocities would be disappearing in October.

This is unfortunate. I picked Geocities about ten years ago over the other free
services because Geocities didn't do pop-ups, and the ads that it did force onto
pages were unobtrusive.

I'm grateful to Yahoo for supporting my unusual hobby for as long as it did
(longer than I maintained interest in it myself -- I haven't done any emulatin'
in over a year now).

Now, of course, I've got a deadline for moving. Anyone know where a good free
service is today?
