Hello JeffD
I am already signed up with that forum but have such a wide range of
hobbies/activities that I am rarely on it. I am not too familiar with DOS
and in any case my Foamworks software will only run under Windows. I have to
admit to finding Linux a bit short on intuitivity and have not worked out
how to connect it with the internet yet. I am using it on a HP PC which I
re-motherboarded after my mate gave up on it. I guess that when I finish my
router/mill mechanics I will be spending some time on the forum. Meshcam has
surprised me with its do-ability - very impressive. I got into cutting blue
foam on an aerospace project at work and went on to design and build my own
machine. I have stepperised a small indexing table for making gears etc and
plan to make large model aircraft fuselages in section on the router/mill
maybe in some applications using the indexer. My foam cutter uses Igus
plastic bushings but I am designing a hybrid ball raced linear system for
the P/M. Having got back out of retirement part time I am now able to fund
this particular aspect of my hobbies to some extent.
It is to hear from you.
Ken

Ken,
As Randy has mentioned the www.meshcam\forum is more active. Come on over,
register and make a real post and the evil moderators will let you in. (I'm
one of them :-)
Concerning the foam cutter pauses, Mach handles these well from what I've
heard (untried new computer sitting downstairs which should run Mach). I
use plain old DOS controller software and it seems fine, but these programs
are dismal to fatal if run from a windows dos box, pure dos only. No
pauses, but radical changes in feed rate caused by MeshCams tendency to
make lots of very short moves.
