I am an atmospheric science student at the University at Albany and
a trained advanced Skywarn spotter for the National Weather Service
and I would like to take this time to tell all of you about a new
online weather discussion board that I have started. It is called
the Capital District & Upstate NY Weather Board and I am trying to
get weather enthusiasts, skywarn spotters, co-op observers, local
meteorologists, and anyone remotely interested in the weather from
the Capital District and Upstate New York involved. It is basically
a place where people can go talk about the weather in the Capital
Region and Upstate New York. There are general weather discussions,
tropical weather discussions, weather polls, discussions with local
meteorologists, places to relay severe weather reports, and even
political and sports discussions. If you are interested, feel free

interested. Our member base is growing daily and the discussions
are beginning to liven, especially with all the severe weather we
