Now that school is out, it's time to go out and about looking for
interesting things to study with your hand lens and microscope. Pond
dipping is a great way to find loads of fascinating critters to look
at with your microscope. You can use the Pond Critter Identification
Database to find out what the critters are you see.
If you don't have a microscope of your own, you can use the Online
Microscope Workstations on the OFFICIAL Microscopy For Kids Web site
(on the links page) to study the interesting critters and objects we
have there.
Spring will be here in just a few weeks and
already the critters are starting to wake up after the
cold Winter months.

It's time to blow the
Winter dust off of your magnifying glasses, microscopes
and bug boxes, and start having a look at all of the
incredibly interesting things Spring is about to show to
you! It's going to be awesome!!

-- Marly
It's Fall and the air is full of floating debris,
pollen, mold spores, dust, small plant and insect
parts... all sorts of stuff that can make you miserable if
you breathe any of it.

Take a look at the
microscopy experiment I've posted on the Microscopy For Kids
message board:

Hi Becky!

It's nice to meet you. {{{ Hugz
}}} Welcome to the Microscopy For Kids Club. It's
really sad that your QX3(R) doesn't work on your
computer. The QX3 is a fun microscope! Have you visited the
Intel Play(R) Web site? They are offering a new [free]
CD-ROM with updated drivers for the QX3 that may help
make it work on your computer.

Hello, I just joined this club. My names Becky,
I'm 13. I got a microscope for christmas a few years
ago. It goes up to 1000x, I also have a Intel
Microscope, ya know, the ones you plug into the computer, I
haven't used that yet because it won't run on my
computer. :( Anyway, is anybody out there?
