It's possible that the long drought and high temperatures and humidity have discouraged people from getting out much; it's also possible that the novelty has worn off, and now that people feel they've explored it, they've moved onto something else. I'm betting, though, that as September and October bring cooler temperatures and colorful foliage, the number of users will rise again. It's a darn nice place to go riding or walking without worrying about whether or not you'll be incorporated into someones automotive trim.
