> The holidays and trains just seem to go together. Model trains of
all
> shapes and sizes can be seen at the Youngstown Model Railroad
> Associations Fall Open House, the weekends of November 6st and 7nd,
> and 13th and 14th. The Club is located at the corner of Raccoon
Road
> and Four Mile Run Road in Austintown. The hours are 12:00 p.m.
until
> 6:00 p.m. all four days.

> The Youngstown Model Railroad Association is one of the few clubs
in
> the country that has two complete displays, `O' scale and the
> smaller `HO'. Both extensive layouts feature over 100 scale miles
of
> track each.

> The `HO' layout is currently undergoing a major renovation. The
> creation of a complete steel mill complex and its track work are in
> the process of being built. Spectators can see exactly how a model
> railroad is constructed.

> The large `O' scale giants offer a special fascination for some
they
> bring back memories of the trains many of us had under our own
> Christmas trees years ago.

> Time seems to stand still as fast freight and colorful passenger
> trains wind their way around the scenic railroads, often
disappearing
> into tunnels to reappear on the other side of the room.

> Bring the whole family and join us for a few fun-filled hours. A
> courtesy donation of $3.00 per person is requested. Children under
