I sold them at a camera shop 35 years ago - always only seemed to
sell at Xmas as "stocking stuffers".

We had a local lab then in Chicago (LaSalle Photo who later owned
Wolf Camera) who did Minox b&w processing and printing. Though grainy
as I recall - prints were not un-acceptable.

There was an art to it and my clients - picked it up.
