You got it, Craig! Loading and processing your own b/w is definitely
the way to go with the Minox. (I don't even mind paying Minox
Processing Labs for processing the couple of rolls of color film that
I do over every year in my second Minox - not when the film itself
costs well under a dollar a roll.)

I've been loading my own for almost five years now with generally
great results... And the rare problems have usually been just stupid
mistakes on my part (e.g., realizing while slitting film that there's
still a safelight on, making the half-moon cut that indicates an
unexposed roll too deep and having it catch on the entry of the
takeup chamber). I don't even have problems with dust or scratches on
the film very often, and my darkroom is a filthy pit!

I always feel like it shouldn't work as well as it does... but it
keeps working great!
