On the Easter holiday this year I went to the coast in Norfolk. Two of
the pages from the trip are now up on mjausson.com.
Heading North describes the journey north via the famous gardens at
Anglesey Abbey in Cambridgeshire and the sunny, sheltered beach in
Hunstanton, Norfolk.

Steam Trains and Seals includes photos of steam trains on the Poppy
Line between Sheringham and Holt, and lots of seals from a seal
watching trip to Blakeney Point in a motor boat.

There are two more pages from Norfolk in the works but with my new job
and all I won't promise anything about when they'll be online.
Enjoy! :-)

I've published two very different pages on Mjausson's Walks. The first
one is from the Oxfordshire stately home of Rousham in July. It's full
of lush foliage and colourful flowers.
http://www.mjausson.com/2004/walk04Jul04.html
The other one is from Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire in late November of
this year. It's very autumnal, with expansive vistas framed by
venerable oaks clad in brown foliage.

What the pages have in common, is that I'm continuing to make large
versions available for some pictures. Just click on the wallpaper link
next to the photo. The Woburn Abbey page also includes a scrolling
panorama of the great lake in front of the manor.
I hope you enjoy these two new pages!

In mid-May I went to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. The
resulting page is a veritable orgy in flowers, mostly water lilies,
irises and tree peonies, but there are also some birds. I got a nice
series of pictures of a male eider, for instance.

Hope you guys enjoy it!

I've published three new pages over the last few weeks. Two are from
aristocratic gardens and one from the woods.
First out is Syon Park. Most of the pictures here are from my visit
to the Butterfly House but there are some from the extensive gardens
too.
http://www.mjausson.com/2003/walk24Feb03.htm
Next is Stowe Landscape Gardens outside Buckingham. It's a garden
historically significant garden with many follies and temples.
http://www.mjausson.com/2003/walk06Mar03.htm
And today I published pictures of pines, birches and heathland near
Seale in Surrey.

I went to California in early June and this time two pages of photos
are the result.
The first is from the Botanical Garden showcasing California native
plants in Tilden Park in the Berkeley Hills.
http://www.mjausson.com/2002/CAJunBerkeley.htm
The other is from Pleasanton Ridge with lots of pictures of olives
and velvety, golden hills.

Enjoy!

It's been a rough spring and I haven't been able to walk as much as I
would like. As a result mjausson.com hasn't been updated as often as
it used to. But at last I've published another page. It's
called "Rothschild's Riches" and shows photos from Waddesdon Manor in
Buckinghamshire.
Waddesdon was built in the late nineteenth century by the seriously
rich London Rothschilds. The page shows a lot of statuary from the
large gardens but also architectural detail from the mock Renaissance
castle and some spring flowers.
I hope you enjoy it.
My next trip goes to northern California in early June. I'll send out
an email when the pictures are available on mjausson.com.
Cheers,

I've just published four sunny and wintry pages from the Chilterns.
Backwards this Time is from Great Missenden and features some lovely
Chiltern woodlands and a fine sunset.
http://www.mjausson.com/2001/walk08Dec01.htm
Ice and Bark from Cookley Green is another sunny walk with abstract
photos of patterns in ice and bark.
http://www.mjausson.com/2001/walk23Dec01.htm
Middle Assendon: Ice and Ruins shows more ice pictures and the
romantic ruin of a Norman church.
http://www.mjausson.com/2001/walk26Dec01.htm
The last page is called Herbert's Shed because many of the pictures
show a shed. In the lovely light of a winter's afternoon the old wood
and brick came out beautifully. That walk started in Chesham.

In other news I've been on holiday in California. I'll announce the
photos on this list once they are published. They show a lot of oaks,
olives and green hills but also some tourist sites such as the Golden
Gate Bridge.
Cheers,

Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mjaussonwalks/ to manage your
subscription of this list.
Welcome to the announcement list of Mjausson's Walks. As a subscriber
you will receive announcements about new landscape photography on
Mjausson's Walks site. Announcements are made with irregular
intervals but no more than once a week.
The major part of Mjausson's Walks is made up of illustrated walks in
the UK but there are also photographs from Crete, Andalucia and
Italy. Each walk page contains notes about maps used and route taken
as well as the weather on that day, and, of course, 10-30 photographs
taken during the outing.
To make the site more accessible there are collections of photos
themed around e.g. sunsets or flowers. There is also a search engine
to help you find photographs from a given area, with a certain
subject etc.
Please use the group page
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mjaussonwalks/ if you'd like to change
your subscription.
Sincerely,
--Mjausson
