Exploring BCX tutorial

Hello All,

I created a tutorial using CamStudio 2.0 which is free and open source. The
short demo of setting up BCX is a 92 MB .avi file which is 12 MB zipped. I
stuck it here: http://www.dgarner.com/Getting%20Started%20with%20MBCX.zip
for now. I'm told it zips to 3MB with 7-zip. I've not tried that yet.

It was a quick test to see how easily the tools worked. My little wireless
optical mouse has a very aggressive response which in general I like, but is
a little disconcerting to watch bounce around the screen. The narration was
off the top of my head with only a little thought before hand. It needs a
lot of editing (or complete re-do) before being released for general
consumption, but I was impressed by CamStudio.

Yesterday, I tried to edit the file. I tried Sony's Vega Movie Studio 6.0
which I purchased for precisely this purpose as well as Microsoft's Movie
Maker. I was not impressed by the results of either of these programs.

So I'm now thinking I'm looking for an .avi editor. Anyone have any
favorites?

David Garner
