In regards to traveling out of town in a short notice, please note that Sajan is located in River Falls (WI). I agree this is out of state from MN. However, River Falls is only 15 minutes within Wisconsin :-) So it can actually be considered a suburbs of St Paul. This is why I appreciate this group.
I have tried UMTIA in the past too. And most of the time, I have not been able to reach local translators, interpreters, and voice over talents.
As a translation agency, I am only sharing this information as to help the local community.

I agree with you that it would be good to see more postings, more activity, but I believe having a moderator helps prevent the "me too" messages and a delay of less than 24 hours for a free service (after all Mohamad does this on his spare time, gratis) is nothing to complain about. Or when you say no results you mean that you do not receive any responses? In other words, are you frustrated with the delay in the postings or the lack of responses to your requests?
This is a relative small list of local translators of many languages. Perhaps your requests should be posted to the entire UMTIA list to ensure a larger audience. Tara or Elisa may be able to offer more ideas.
For my part, I'd love to work for you agency, but I am unable to travel out of town on short notice.

I agree and I pointed out earlier that there was no activity or postings for some time and for that, I am sorry. However, we need to better the dynamics of this group. We need to keep it fresher and we need to hear from every one. This group was not solely intended for job postings. Rather, it was intended to be a forum for all of us.
