Hi all:
I'm interested in using moblogging as an instant
document of where i am and/or what i see. I would also
like GPS recording capabilities as I have recently
started geocaching. I currently send directly from my
Sony Ericsson T637 (a year-ish old...got with cingular
account) to flickr.com. I am a flickr addict. Not so
fond of the T637....it was fine when i got it...and
it's fun to send.. but now i know the resolution is
really crappy. So I carry around my Canon digital
rebel...which is large and doesn't have sending
abilities but takes better photos.
So what are the better cameraphones out there that
won't break the bank?
What is nokia's lifeblog? is it similar to flickr?
I am currently a bit ambivialent about receiving
photos on my phone. One friend sends 1 really
interesting photo that is worth a thousand words. On
the other hand, I have another friend that will send
5+ uninteresting photos, in rapid secession, at an
inopportune time, then will call me to see if i got
the photos...so she can explain them...in
detail...since it's hard to see. I guess I want more
control over which photos/moblogs I can read on my
phone.
cheers,
...diane

Hi all,
Let's start with an introduction, how you plan to use moblogging
(e.g., random photos, family, artistic) and how much experience you
have with the capturing and posting from your mobile phone.
Me:
I use moblogging for random picutre taking, and mostly post by
transfering to my PC then to the web.
I've had a mobile phone capable of picture posting for about 3 years.
I'm interested in how to make moblogs readable on phones rather than
or in addition to readable on the web.

The first step is do you have a cameraphone? You'll want to capture
images that amuse you or snapshots in the same way you do with a any
camera. Next, you need an email account with your network service
provider. This is either Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Cingular or
T-mobile most likely. Finally, you'll need a web service where you
can post images and/or text to share with others. The options here
are numerous: Fickr is very popular for posting images, you can also
post directly to your blog at Blogger or Typepad, etc.
1)camera phone
2)email account to send from your phone
3)web location to post and share
Moblogging is fun and pretty simple. Feel free to ask other questions
and do post the URLs of your moblogs here.
Cheers,
...Debi
Hi everyone,
If you are interested in learning more about the applications and
techniques of moblogging, we can start here.
Feel free to ask any questions on moblogging. If I don't have the
answer we'll find it together.
Cheers!

P.S. I'm traveling home today, so you won't hear from me until
tomorrow. I'll check with you then.
