CALL FOR PAPERS

The International Software Quality Institute announces the 12th International Conference on Quality Engineering in Software Technology. It is supported by Fraunhofer FOKUS and the SIG on Testing, Analysis, and Verification of Software of the German Society for Informatics (GI TAV).

 

CONQUEST has been held every year since 1997 and ranks among the most important expert events in the field of software quality. The conference, highly praised and just as highly attended, is an event at which regional companies exchange knowledge and compare experiences in software development with colleagues from abroad.

 

Submissions for presentations and tutorials in the broad field of software quality in theory and practice are appreciated:

·         first-hand information on the practical use and further development of quality engineering methods and techniques;

·         user experience in introducing, implementing and operating software quality engineering;

·         specific real-life case studies with detailed quality analysis and evaluation;

·         capabilities and availability of quality engineering tools;

·         quality engineering issues in domains such as Medical IT, Automotive, Avionics, Transport, and IT

Notification of acceptance:

11 May 2009

Submission of final papers:

15 June 2009

Submission Details

Contributions must be original work which means that they must report previously unpublished work and not be submitted concurrently to another conference with refereed proceedings.

We differentiate between

·         RESEARCH  papers of 12-16 pages

·         INDUSTRIAL (experience) reports of 6-8 pages

Papers of smaller size than the targeted minimum will be rejected without any consideration.

A paper submission must include a title, the name(s) of the author(s) and a contact address of the author(s). Please choose a subject classification from the list above. The submissions will be published as 2009’s edition of the CONQUEST Proceedings series.

Speaker Benefits and Expectations

Benefits

·         In case we accept your submission, tutorial speaker will get a Full Conference ticket, speaker a Conference Only ticket free of charge.

·         The best paper and the best presentation will be selected by the program committee and the conference participants, respectively.

·         In case we accept your submission, you will get a Speaker Certificate as a proof of experience for e.g. iNTACS™ or QAMP® (Experience Evidence).

·         Accepted papers will be published; Springer LNCS has been inquired.

Expectations

·         Submit your paper according to the template which we provide at our website.

·         Accepted papers must be presented at the conference by one of the authors.

·         The tutorial / paper presentation must be in English language.

·         The paper presentation is 45 min, including time for questions.

·         The tutorial can be a half-day tutorial (3 hours) or a full-day tutorial (6 hours).

·         Please forward the conference program and actively promote the conference to your contacts.
