WORLD SPEEDWORDS (Mote) is a SHORTHAND SYSTEM, and it is also an Internationl Auxilary Language. It is an EASY to LEARN International Email System permiting international communication with a minimum of effort. R. J. G. Dutton developed this system back around 1916. He worked to refine it up to the 1950's. Mote IS AN EASY, FAST WAY TO TAKE SHORT HAND. Skilled persons can obtain speeds up to 120 WORDS PER MINUTE by hand and over 200 WORDS PER MINUTE typing. Mote uses standard English characters. The most commonly occuring words are reduced to one, two, and three letter combinations, thereby, compressing sentences 50% or more. World Speedwords is the only system that allows for the TRANSCRIPTION OF ALL NATIONAL LANGUAGES. A speedword would be the same in every language and it would mean the same thing. For example, the letter "F" would mean "For" and it would be spelled the same for all languages and it's meaning would be the same world-wide. If a person were to learn his national language and Mote then a person would be able to speak to any other person in the world without learning dozens of other languages if everyone else learned Speedwords.
