RE: [mrrobot] Using tandem Mr. Robot Ultrasonic Sensors

I think the digital version can do this since there is a trigger input.
However the analog version is not (easily) capable of this. However it
might be worth a try by modifying the circuit some to prevent one unit from
sending pulses, a listen only mode.

Subject: [mrrobot] Using tandem Mr. Robot Ultrasonic Sensors

We have an applicaton that would involve two Ultrasonic Sensors. The
sensor's analog output is perfect for our needs. Here is what we need
to do:

Have Sensor 1 send a ping to Sensor 2. One of the two sensors would
report the time differnce between the two sensors. This process would
then be reversed with Sensor 2 pinging Sensor 1 and reporting the
difference. The result would be that one sensor would report the time
from 1 to 2 and the other would report the time from 2 to 1.

This would obiously involve having the MCU/PIC on each sensor
communicating with the other. The question is not so much whether
this is doable but how easily could it be done.

I look forward to your comments.
