Hi everyone,
I am looking into building a robot that climbs poles/lamposts for
visual inspection. Any advice/ ideas /comments would be gratefully

... That's interesting... Visual inspection of what, exactly? The wires and such or the pole itself?...

The plan is to inspect the surface of the lamp post as well as looking out over the surrounding area, all with a wireless camera link....
