Somehow you are not connecting to the right serial port. When you download
the P-code the lights should blink rapidly. Check to make sure you are
connected to the same serial port you have configured IC to use.

D2 blinks ON and OFF whether or not I "OK" the download from ICWIN.
In other words, I don't see a difference in the blinking from before
I "OK" the download to after I "OK" the download. I do get a timeout
error from the IC.

That is incorrect you need the board back. The manual does not say to
remove the board.

YES we are using tjpro...we followed the manual...it said unsolder
the motor from the board and we did...we left only the gears and
potentiometer inside...solder wires to the motor...but plugging it to
the microprocessor makes the motor run without servo_on() command...it
couldn't be stopped either...

did we do the right thing? or we do have to put the board back?

thanks!

Are you sure you did the right servo hack? You have to leave the electronics
inside if you
are using it with the TJ Pro robot.

what do you mean? what is the pot?

we hacked the servo by removing the board attached to it and
burning the inside of the bottom part, of the largest gear so to
remove the thing that makes the potentiometer turn..now it freely
turns when the motor is on...we tried running the motor using
batteries, its working...

we attached the motor now to the board at PA3 and PA7...when we
turn on the microprocessor the motor turns on too...the servo_off()
and motorp(0,0) and motorp(1,0) doesn't stop the motor from turning...

that's the only problem we have, the IR's and bumper sensors are
working...

With my TJPRO connected to a PC from Com1 to a MB2325A through the
Ribbon Cable, I cannot get the pcode download to start.

-The Power Switch is ON, and the Download/Run is in the Download position.
-D1 is ON and D2 goes ON when I press the Reset. However, when I
release the Reset, D2 blinks ON and OFF whether or not I "OK" the
download from ICWIN.
What might not be working?

Also, I cannot find documentation describing the COM settings on the
PC. I currently have 8N1 None at 9600 Baud. Is that supposed to work?

Thanks

A common problem is a short on the battery lines connected to the servos
PA3-PA7 blows the trace from the battery. You should just be able to solder
a wire from the battery supply to that power rail from PA3-PA7 to fix the
board.

You need the batch file. Open it to edit to see what it does. Progo.c is
also needed.

If you purchased PROGO11in your bundle, you should have gotten the manual
and the download procedure. Notify me directly of your invoice number for
proof of purchase and I can send the missing emanual which should answer all
your questions. Mail your invoice number directly to jack@.... DO

It sounds like the other group may have damaged the controller board. You
can either send it to us for repair or purchase a new controller board.

For repair please include a check when shipping your robot for $60 ($50
repair fee and $10 S&H) this fee will cover most problems to:

I am working on my graduation project and we are two groups working

returned to us the last time It came with this problem.
I don't know what is the reason.

Hi
I have tried anoter siwtch. But the same problem remains.
When turning the switch off a 3V pass to the red led and It lights but when turning it ON a 5 volts pass to the led. I don't know what is the problem. Is it from the kit itself??

Thanx lina

hi everyone,

I have this PROGO11 software. In the manual, there is a
filename "comprogo.bat" but in my file the filename is "installprogo"
which is MS-DOS Batch File. Is this the same?

     hoping for your quick response.

I have checked the connections, used a new power switch and checked
for any short but it does not work.
I am working on my graduation project and we are two groups working
on the same robot. The robot was working before, but when it
returned to us the last time It came with this problem.
I don't know what is the reason.

Hi Lina

Actually, I have never see the TJPRO Robot. But maybe
I can give u some rechecking ask. What did u mean "
either the power is on or it is off"? Is there any
power switch? The switch could have broken, so it's
always ON and the red LED always ON too.

But if there isn't any power switch, i can;t help u.

Well. u can try it.

Are you sure you have the correct LED in the corrct place in the circuit?
could you have the charge LED and the power LED mixed up? I would double
check all your wiring with the schematic. It sounds like something is wired
wrong but I am not sure what. Does the robot work? Does the red LED only
come on when its charging?
