Subject: RE: [msmq] Tunneling MSMQ communicationHi Guy,
You can change the port number that MSMQ is using by changing the registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Parameters\MsmqIpPort (default value is 1801). Note that MSMQ was not tested using other ports, and Microsoft explicitly suggests not to change this registry key, so you will do the change on your own risk. Nevertheless, it should work.
After changing this reg key, the MSMQ machine will not be able to communicate with other MSMQ machines unless the reg key was set to the same value in these machines as well.
There may be other solutions to MSMQ tunneling, probably involving 3rd party products that can tunnel port 1801 communication through other ports.
Hope that helps,
Yoel

Subject: [msmq] Tunneling MSMQ communication
Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to tunnel MSMQ traffic over some transport
other than HTTP or its native transport?
Ideally, I'd like to provide my own transport, but I understand this
is not possible.
Cheers,
Guy
