Description

Welcome to the MSP430 User's Group!

The purpose of this group is to foster exchange of information on the Texas Instruments MSP430 family of microcontrollers and related tools. Everyone welcome, all levels of familiarity/expertise. This group will attempt an absolute minimum of moderation. Suggested guiding principle: there is no such thing as a stupid question (with one important exception; see below).

Please contribute links, files, calender events and discussion! Attachments are not allowed. To share something with the group, post it to the appropriate section of the site and include a link or reference in your message.

Note that upon joining the group, posting of your first message may be significantly delayed. This is an unfortunate but essential anti-spam step. Do not resend, just wait. It may take a couple of days or even a week for you to become a screened member.

Save yourself public criticism and everyone else some bandwidth by using the following posting guidelines:

1. Search the message archive before posting questions. Most common questions have already been asked and answered.
2. Include enough details, the first time around, to allow someone to understand your question well enough to answer it.
3. No one has a routine they can send you, written in X language, to do Y and Z. Students, do your own homework.
4. Only post after you've tried to figure it out yourself, and can tell the group specifically what you're stuck on.

Lastly, it's important for you to realize that you are a member of this group via your email address. If you attempt to post with another email address, it won't ever appear. Those who use multiple email addresses must log into yahoo and edit their account settings to associate other email addresses with the membership.

Re: flashing MSP430
The REP430F would be perfect. Power supply via external power supply (8V to 10V) or from target device (2.5V-3.6V) - so all you need to do is plug the unit

I suspect that Andrew Reid is a robot. His response is irrelevant. -- OCY
