Hey, Simon! How's life on a very small island far, far away?
I thought those were the "stereo" inputs, but it is possible you can
only mix them in for recording purposes and not monitor them otherwise
(though that would seem a little odd). I've still got my manual, so
I'll check as soon as I can find it ;->

Subject: [mtmd] 2 tracks in, how to get stereo out?
Hi all
I used to be quite active on the group, but I've been
lurking for a while (years in fact!)
I use my MD8 mainly as a mixer for live work in church
these days. It has the added bonus of playing back
pre-recorded music when needed.
There are two RCA inputs at the back labelled '2 TR
in', which I have tried (unsuccessfully) to use to
channel a CD player's output (R+L stereo) into the
main mix - as background music or sometimes as a kind
karaoke sing-along when I don't have time to
pre-record the tracks onto disk.
However I can't get any sound out! I've tried playing
with the 'stereo' and 'monitor' buttons, to no avail.
has anyone used this input successfully?
I don't want to have to use up two input channels for
the CD R+L, I would rather utilise the 2TRin input.
Blessings,
Simon
