The reason I asked about http://www.dimdim.com/ is that I don't get to choose.
I'm just teaching one module of a postgraduate course which is taught through
Dokeos. Dokeos does have a sort of webconferencing tool, which is really poor
and so I told the webmaster. I also forwarded him Vance's discussion of the
comparative merits of Wiziq and Elluminate, and after reading it (I presume) he
came up with DimDim, and asked me to assess it academically for him. This is a
profit-making course (or aimed to be at least), which is why I didn't suggest
using the Learning Times Elluminate licence.

Anyway, as you say, I thought it would be interesting to explore another
opensource, free tool.
