I had uninstalled the old program, but had not deleted the directory.

 

I uninstalled again, deleted the directory, reinstalled the program and everything is fine.

1. Did you use the new registration code that I had posted in the group? This code should have set the evaluation period till July.

2. Is your system date current? Was your system date not current when you first ran MyCar and entered the registration code?

3. Before installing new verison, did you uninstall the previous version and delete the MyCar folder?

Forgive me if this rambles but as I was writing this it became a running dialog of what was happening as I tried several different things.


I've finally gotten all the maintenance records loaded for my 86 pick up, when I go to the maintenance screen the total is
000000003, actually there appears to be another 0, bit the column width won't allow it to be displayed.

If I manually change the date from 85 to today the total is displayed, correctly I presume as I've not actually totaled the expenses. 
Hmmm, just noticed something, if I sort the data in reverse chronological order, from today to 86 amount is bogus, but if I sort in chronological order, oldest to today the amount displays correctly, goes for all the fields.
I just realized that the Cost field can be resized, the total is either 7736.2 or 7736.199999999998, I noticed too that if I click in the Car field the total will remain the same for several clicks and then will toggle back and forth between to to totals I mentioned.

On a related note, on the home page only the totals by a designated payment method, Visa, are displayed, I have made many purchases with cash, how can I get that total to be displayed as well.

One last thing, why does the desktop start in full screen mode, I'd rather that it remember my last setting or else only as large as is necessary to display all the information, or is this a problem peculiar to me?

I hope that I'm providing enough information to id the nature of the problem

This should have been an image - if you are talking one on the left side of each window. I will check again why is it not showing up. What is your screen resolution? Also, that link is currently not working. It is pointing to my webserver but I have not created the website yet.

Frankly, I had kinda lost the interest (call it given up/ whatever). But
last night I fought back and I almost got all the errors that were reported
while testing. So, I believe this version should not have any installation
issues. I am going to test it again tonight and send a link for you all to
download. Infact I shall send it to some of us before posting it to the
group - so that only few have to go through the pain if installation still
has some serious issues.
