Hi Gang,

When something does not work, it might be important just out of curiosity to find out why.  Then at least we might learn and understand field theory even though we might not be able to duplicate this device.

In "messing around" with magnets on my wheel this AM with my Hall probe after the "Letdown", It was very interesting to discover that between EVERY UP facing NORTH Magnet, there is a PHANTOM but very real SOUTH FIELD and its strength depends on the spacing.  With my magnets, the ratio of N to S fields is aproximately 150 mT to 75 mT with equal spacing to 150 mT to 25 mT with 20% spacing relative to size of the magnets.  Then between groups of magnets there is a very real but weak SOUTH 15 to 25 mT field.  Nothing what I expected!  There goes all my pet theories!

So the theory that we are looking at a N field up platter is not correct.  We are looking at a N/S/N/S and so on field with the S field weaker due to the spacing and distance!  A very bumpy field "road" to be sure!  Null fields on this patter are VERY narrow.

Just something to think about in a long line of observations.

Ben
